Arising from concerns over cities becoming ‘look-alike’, the ‘Urban-Lab; an Architecture for the Collective’ is a Think Tank proposed in Kochi fostering dialogue between the State, its people, architects, designers and other stakeholders. It is designed as a public space, on an existing public ground by the edge of the water. The building is therefore a thoroughfare between the land and the water making space for regular city events to take over at the plinth level. The functional hierarchy of spaces is design strategy used to develop a sense of ownership to the place, which subsequently may reflect upon the 'Think Tank's' aspirations. All drawings for this project has been done individually during the academic semesters of 2019-20.
